A preliminary reservation for rooms has been made in the "Park Hotel Flamenco". The special rate for a single room is DEM 162, double room DEM 202, including breakfast and VAT.

Transport connections between Budapest Airport and the city centre

The Traffic and Airport Administration (LRI) operates a city minibus service from Ferihegy Airport Terminal A and Terminal B to the address given by the passenger for HUF 1800 per person (the return ticket is HUF 3300 per person). (Also, upon request, the comfortable six-seater bus can be called 24 hours prior to departure from your hotel or home to the airport). Buy your ticket at the information desk in main arrival passenger hall. From your hotel or home please call 296-8555 for the LRI Minibus operator.

The fare for public transport is uniformly 100 HUF per trip in Budapest. Tickets purchased beforehand have to be validated in the buses, trams and underground (metro) stations. Tickets can be bought at metro stations (marked with M) and in some tobacco shops.

Tickets for public transport

Tickets for public transport have generally to be bought in advance. Single tickets can usually be purchased at newspaper kiosks, tobacco shops, and all kinds of tickets are available at underground stations (marked with M) or BKV (Budapest Transport Limited) sales offices. The pre-sailing single tickets have to be validated in the buses, trams and underground (metro) stations. A single ticket is usually valid per access in Budapest.

Telecommunications facilities

For calls from all countries to a number in Hungary the dialling code is 36 that is followed by the local area number and the subscriber number.

The area number of Budapest is number 1.

For international calls from Hungary please dial 00 and getting the international tone dial the code number of the required country.

For domestic long distance call in Hungary 06 is the pre-fix number that is followed by the local area number and the subscriber's number.

Currency, exchange, credit cards

The currency unit in Hungary is the forint (its Hungarian abbreviation: Ft; its English abbreviation: HUF).

Automatic dispenser are available twenty-four hours a day.

The following major credit cards are accepted by hotels and many bigger shops: Visa, Eurocard-Mastercard, American Express.

Electricity in Hungary is 220V/50Hz. Plugs are the normal 2-pin continental type connecting with standard round outlet.

The local time in Hungary is the Central European Time that is GMT+1. In this period of the year standard summer time is being used.
